A LALOR Park woman was arrested twice within 24 hours for pestering the triple-0 service about DVD repairs.
The 47-year-old woman first dialled the emergency service line about 9pm on Friday seeking police assistance to fix her DVD player.
Although it was explained to her on several occasions that it was an offence to seek assistance from emergency services when the case was not an emergency she made several more phone calls.
The woman was consequently arrested and charged with making false calls to emergency services.
She was bailed to appear at Blacktown Local Court on August 20.
The following night she was arrested for the same offence.
The woman was right! If you cannot watch a video at night, life becomes boring and one can become suicidal! Isn't that an emergency?
